Who doesn't love Restaurant Week? You can take advantage of special lunch and dinner menus prepared by a select list of restaurants in a given geographic location and try their cuisines for a fraction of the regular menu prices! For those who love Malaysian food, keep reading...

Malaysian Kitchen for the World, a campaign launched by the Malaysian External Trade Corporation (MATRADE) to promote Malaysian restaurants and cuisine in the New York metropolitan area, presents the first-ever Malaysian Restaurant Week! It'll run from Monday, June 14 (today!) through Sunday, June 20, 2010 at select restaurants in the Tri-State area. That is, in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, for those of you who aren't from this neck of the woods.

After looking at the full list of participating restaurants, I'm thrilled to see that Bentara in New Haven, CT is on there! Bentara is one of my favorite restaurants in Connecticut, and I used to eat there a lot with coworkers when I worked in New Haven after graduating from college. I'm almost tempted to hop on a train after work one night this week just so I can have their Nasi Goreng!
