A Taste of Napa: Breakfast at Beazley House - Napa, CA
I was provided with the opportunity to travel to Napa on this press trip at no cost to me. I did not accept monetary compensation for writing about the trip or about my experiences while in Napa. All opinions expressed are my own.
Owned and operated by Jim and Carol Beazley, Beazley House opened in 1981 as Napa's very first bed and breakfast inn. They did a remarkable job of maintaining the character and charm of the mansion, which dates back to 1902, while making the necessary updates and upgrades that would appeal to guests today. I absolutely fell in love with the garden space between the Mansion and the Carriage House and seriously considered staying behind while the rest of the group continued the tour so I could spend the morning reading on the garden swing.
I was especially taken with the beautifully arranged centerpieces on each of the dining room. Such a cheerful sight to see first thing in the morning.
Guests are treated to a breakfast of homemade treats, including juice, tea, coffee, a variety of fresh fruit, and just-baked breads or muffins. There is also a rotating selection of sweet and savory dishes like crust-less quiche or French toast with fresh berries and sweet maple syrup.
For my breakfast at Beazley House, I enjoyed bottomless cups of coffee, a luscious bowl of fresh fruit, and one of my favorite breakfast combinations out there: eggs and potatoes. A singular fried egg was layered on top of tender and creamy home fries, which were layered on top of a flavorful puree of sun-dried tomatoes. Simple and elegant, this meal was the perfect way for me to start my day.
Thanks so much to Jim and Carol for hosting me for breakfast!
