2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Popchips™ Coupon Giveaway

Popchips
Popchips

I was provided with product samples at no cost. I do not accept monetary compensation for writing about these products or about my experiences while using them. All opinions expressed are my own.

Usually, when samples of food are delivered at the office, they're for me. (Naturally... I am the food blogger.) Yet, not too long ago, we received a generous delivery of Popchips™ for the entire office to share. Since our snack supply was pitifully low at the time, we were very grateful for the delivery and tore into the bags to try the "never fried, never baked" chips. With five flavor varieties -- Original, Barbeque, Salt & Pepper, Sea Salt & Vinegar, and Parmesan Garlic -- to choose from, there was something to suit everyone's tastes.

So, I chatted with the guy who delivered the chips for a bit. Over the course of our brief conversation, I told him that it was very fortuitous that our paths should cross that day. I mentioned my food blog and floated the idea of a giveaway past him. He liked the idea and left me with a handful of coupons (i.e. SEVEN) to offer as giveaway prizes to my Taste As You Go readers!

As with previous giveaways, there will be multiple winners of the Popchips™ Coupon Giveaway: the Grand Prize Winner will receive THREE coupons, while the First Runner-Up and the Second Runner-Up will each receive TWO coupons. Each coupon is good for one free bag of Popchips™!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on this entry and let me know which flavor (or flavors) of Popchips™ you'd like to try. Make sure to leave your email address in your comment if it's not listed in your profile so I have a way of contacting you if you're one of the winners (US only). No email address, no prize.

To earn up to two bonus entries, you can:
  1. Spread the word about this giveaway on your blog then come back here and leave an additional comment on this post with the link to your blog post. (one bonus entry)
  2. Spread the word about this giveaway on StumbleUpon then come back here and leave an additional comment on this post with your StumbleUpon username. (one bonus entry)

This giveaway will end on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 11:59pm EST. The winners (again, US only) will be chosen with the help of Random.org on May 11, 2009 (my birthday!!!) and will be announced here.

Good luck!

PS. Popchips™ aren't just for snacking. Head over to ChezWhat? to read about Christo's PopChicken and PopShrimp!

No chips for me today. I have more important business. I just love your blogging. You're so down to earth and real and fair, even when you're giving a restaurant a less than glowing appraisal. Great recipes too.

I've given you an award on my blog. Congratulations! You deserve it.
yummmy! parmesan garlic or BBQ for me!
