60 Ultimate Cookie Exchange Recipes {and When It's Time to End It}

If you're looking for a winning recipe for your holiday cookie swaps, then scroll through this round-up  of 60 Ultimate Cookie Exchange Recipes on Taste As You Go!   Do you ever get That Feeling in your gut when you realize that what once brought you happiness now fills you with dread? You know the one... It's That Same Feeling that causes you to ask yourself repeatedly " Why am I doing this again?" I've been trying to battle that super persistent feeling for the past few weeks by giving myself little pep talks: "Don't give up now. You DO want to do this!"  "Don't you remember how much you used to love doing this? Just keep going!" " Do it one more time and you'll see -- everything will be fine. Music to Play on Thanksgiving

You've carefully planned your Thanksgiving meal (including promising your family that real mashed potatoes and boxed mashed potatoes will make an appearance).

You've set your table with your best dinnerware and flatware. You've wiped all of the wine glasses a third time to remove traces of fingerprints (and to lessen the chances of being criticized by your in-laws).

You've meticulously written the names of your guests on place cards and have strategically assigned each of them a seat. All you have to do is wake up at the crack of dawn on the Big Day, carefully coordinate the simultaneous cooking of multiple dishes at once, and play host/hostess... Right?

Oh, shoot!

You were so busy with everything else, that you didn't leave yourself time to create the perfect Thanksgiving playlist of songs to have softly (or loudly, depending on your family) playing in the background. You could resort to tuning the television to the parade or the football game, but that would be too easy.

Luckily for you, I put together a Thanksgiving playlist for this exact situation!

Described (by me) as consisting of "songs to play while preparing your Thanksgiving feast, during the meal, or when you're ready to loosen the belt and pass out on the couch," my Thanksgiving playlist features music from a variety of genres to ensure that there's something for everybody at your holiday celebration:
  • Be Thankful - Natalie Cole
  • Everybody Eats When They Come To My House - Cab Calloway & His Orchestra
  • "Hoe Down" from Rodeo - Aaron Copland
  • The Thanksgiving Song - Adam Sandler
  • Stuffy Turkey - Thelonious Monk
  • Hot Turkey - Joe Craven
  • Cornbread - Herbal Nation
