2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Menu Plan: June 30 - July 6

Orchid Centerpiece | Taste As You Go

The last few weeks of menu planning have been tough for me. I've been feeling uninspired and unmotivated, and I found myself waiting until the last possible minute to pull something together. In attempt to snap out of my menu-planning funk and refocus my efforts, I gave myself a firm deadline and actually managed to finish this week's Menu Plan with minimal procrastination.

Since Stephen and I are in Connecticut visiting my family this weekend, I was saved from the task of coming up with ideas for Sunday's dinner. I'm actually pretty excited that we'll be revisiting some meals that I haven't prepared in a while, and I'm hoping this means I've turned a corner. Menu planning would be so much easier to handle if I were [somewhat] excited about it.

Tuesday: Stuffed Bell Peppers with Ground Turkey and Sun-Dried Tomatoes (These peppers were on the Menu Plan last week, but it turned out to be too hot to turn on the oven. I'm hoping for better luck this week.)

Wednesday: Stephen's Choice

Strawberry Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps | Taste As You Go

Thursday: Strawberry Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps (Described by my husband as "the best damn strawberry chicken thing you ever had, bitches.")
