2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Guest Post: A Picnic-Scape for the Fourth of July (Get the Look with J+G Design)

When I relocated to Pennsylvania a couple of years ago, my interest in interior design increased exponentially. I was no longer living in my shoe box of an apartment in New York and suddenly had more space (i.e. Stephen's townhouse) to transform into a home. I started obsessively poring over design blogs, looking for inspiration.

One of my favorite blogs to read is The Curatorial by J+G Design, a Manhattan-based interior design firm founded by my good friend Georgie Hambright and her business partner Jennifer Beek. I'm excited to announce that these talented ladies have graciously written a guest post for Taste As You Go that shows you how to get the look of the perfect picnic-scape for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.

Take it away, J+G!

We're so excited to do a guest post for Taste As You Go! We're big fans and so honored to share our summer-themed event style with you.

ONE + TWO + THREE + FOUR + FIVE + SIX + SEVEN + EIGHT + NINE

The 4th of July is a great time for casual entertaining outside with family and friends, and what could be better than a colorful, festive picnic! Don't be afraid to veer from the traditional red, white, and blue and mix in a few different shades and complimentary colors.

We've incorporated oranges and pinks to keep it fresh and interesting. This is the perfect setting to serve one of Michelle's delicious recipes like her Pink Grapefruit Tart or her Strawberry Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps

Happy picnicking!
