I'm about to begin the 17th week of my pregnancy, and all of a sudden, I've started looking at
everything in our house differently. Although I'm months away from the nesting period, I already have a strong urge to start cleaning out our closets and purging various rooms of clutter and unnecessary items. Of course, the more I thought about all of the projects I'd like to tackle, the more overwhelmed I felt (and the more I realized that I'd never be able to finish them all before the baby arrives).
In situations like these, I've always felt that it's best to just choose a starting point and break down the bigger projects into smaller steps so it feels like I'm making progress. In this case, I picked the kitchen, specifically the corner of the kitchen that has turned into a storage space for K-cups, our assortment of tea, my cookbook collection, and our folder for take-out menus.

As I was making a mental inventory of everything in the space, I discovered that I had two

here. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I had purchased two (maybe so Stephen and I didn't have to share?), and it occurred to me that it wasn't necessary for me to keep both of them.
