2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Menu Plan: May 24 - May 30

Sharing our Menu Plan for May 24 - May 30, 2015

Let me just say this -- You guys are THE BEST.

I was overwhelmed by the response to my last blog post and am so grateful for all of your support. It felt so good to get that all off my chest. Without having blogging "responsibilities" looming over my head, I've been able to enjoy the little details of my day-to-day much more and, more importantly, I've been able to spend quality time with the baby that's been virtually free of distractions.

Choosing happiness is definitely the way to go.

Since I'm only planning on blogging when inspiration strikes, you may see a drop-off on my menu plan posts. For now, though, my goal is to continue sharing our weekly menu plans each Sunday. If, for whatever reason, you don't see a current menu plan post on Taste As You Go, then just pop over to Facebook, where I tend to talk about what I'm cooking each night.

However, to see what's on deck for dinner for us this week, just keep reading!

Menu Plan: May 24 - May 30, 2015

Sunday: Bacon and Caramelized Onion Quiche from Mountain Mama Cooks

I didn't get around to making this quiche for dinner yesterday, so I'm going to try again tonight. Especially since I already have the ingredients on hand.

Monday: Grilled Cheeseburgers and Mom's Potato Salad

Because what's Memorial Day without burgers and potato salad? (Throw in some ambrosia and you have every family picnic from my childhood.)

Tuesday: Caprese Salad with Toasted Baguette Slices

Wednesday: Stephen's Choice

Secretly, I hope Stephen will be on board for Mediterranean take-out. *AHEM*

Thursday: Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado Sandwiches

Friday: English Muffin Pizzas

As of right now, it's supposed to be on the warm side on Friday. It doesn't make sense to heat up the entire house just to bake pizza (even if last week's pizza turned out awesome), so I'm going to just keep things simple.

Saturday: Monterrey Chicken Skillet from Budget Bytes

Do you plan your dinners every week? Let me know what's on your menu plan in the comments below!

I mean... Because, clearly, I need some dinner inspiration! ;-)
