Do you ever get That Feeling in your gut when you realize that what once brought you happiness now fills you with dread? You know the one... It's That Same Feeling that causes you to ask yourself repeatedly "
Why am I doing this again?"
I've been trying to battle that super persistent feeling for the past few weeks by giving myself little pep talks:
"Don't give up now. You DO want to do this!"
"Don't you remember how much you used to love doing this? Just keep going!"

Do it one more time and you'll see -- everything will be fine. You'll feel much better once you get it over with."
But no matter how many times I tried to get excited about it, I found a reason to avoid doing it. (Thank you, Caroline.) That's when I knew it was time to end it.
With a somewhat heavy heart, I'm here to announce that this month's
recipe round-up will be the last one on Taste As You Go for the foreseeable future.
When I first started sharing round-ups with you guys, I loved picking the themes each month and collecting recipes from my fellow bloggers. But, over time, the task became exhausting and a lot less fun. As I saw it, I had two choices -- accept the status quo or change the situation.
Obviously, I'm done with the status quo. It's time for a change. I know
I've said that before, but between then and now, things still haven't evolved the way I wanted them to.
Little by little, you're going to start seeing evidence of that change on this site. I thought about making the official turn in this new direction in the new year, but why wait? Waiting will only give me more time to make excuses for leaving things exactly the way they are now.
Giving Taste As You Go a refresh will help me get things back on track so I can rekindle my love for sharing stories and recipes in this space. This shift has been a long time coming, and, quite frankly, I'm looking forward to the journey.
For now, though, how about those cookie exchange recipes I promised you?
