Movie Night with G.H. Cretors Popcorn
Make Movie Night an extra-special event by serving up bowlfuls of popcorn from G.H. Cretors.
I was provided samples of G.H. Cretors Popcorn at no cost to me. I did not accept monetary compensation for this post; however, the post does contain affiliate product links. Then again, in the ten months since Caroline was born, Stephen and I have only been out, just the two of us, on two occasions -- once to celebrate our anniversary with dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants and once to attend his high school reunion. While we had intended to make Date Night a regular thing after we became parents, we were never able to fit it into our schedules.
But as I move forward on my journey to find purpose in 2016, I want to continue making an effort to make more time for us to be us.
Though, given the costs associated with a night out at the movies these days (a babysitter, the tickets, refreshments), it's much easier on our budget to stay in and have a Movie Night at home. Plus, there's the added bonus of being able to watch one of the hundreds of movies already in our DVD collection while snuggled up together on the couch with a glass (or two) of wine.
Saving money by staying in means treating yourself to something special in the snack department, and the perfect way to do that is to grab a few bags of popcorn from G.H. Cretors. I had the opportunity to try several varieties of their gluten-free popcorn made with non-GMO ingredients, and let me just say this...
THEIR. POPCORN. IS. ADDICTIVE.
I received a generous Sampler Kit with five different flavors inside:
Organic Simply Salted Popcorn, seasoned with just a touch of sea salt;
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Popcorn, popped in organic extra virgin olive oil to give it a subtle fruity flavor;
Just the Caramel Corn Popcorn, buttery and sweet and made the old-fashioned way;
Just the Cheese Corn Popcorn, made with real cheddar cheese;
and Chicago Mix Popcorn, a salty-sweet combo featuring a satisfying mixture of their caramel corn and their cheddar cheese corn.
Over the course of this popcorn extravaganza, I became slightly obsessed with the Chicago Mix. It brought back many fond memories of my childhood, specifically the times when my grandparents gave our family huge tins of popcorn for Christmas. Not surprisingly, we finished this bag way before we finished any of the others.
Clearly, enough variety to last us through a movie at home. Maybe even two.
With the refreshments taken care of, I guess the only thing left to decide is which movie to watch first!
Of the three movies pictured here, which one would YOU start with?
