2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

A Month of Dinners: Menu Plan for May

In an attempt to make my life a little easier, I'm planning all of our dinners for May at once.

Let's see... Not much has changed since I posted our menu plan for April.

The non-blogging areas of my life are still taking up most of my time. Caroline took her first solo steps earlier this month (!) and requires a little more supervision than before. When I can carve out time for myself, I'm spending it pitching potential clients.

Even so, I, somehow, still managed to write four new blog posts this month, including this one. And I'm happy with that. Happy because I'm writing when I feel inspired to write rather than when I feel pressured to.

What a difference!

As I did last month, I put together a list of posts that I want to share with you. Here's a sneak preview of what's to come on the blog:

  • a Mother's Day gift guide (or what to buy me for my birthday)
  • a recipe for a dessert I never thought I'd like
  • the update about my mission to find purpose in 2016 (that I thought I was going to share in April)
  • a revised version of one of my favorite pizza recipes
  • a ticket giveaway for a local food event

It sounds a little ambitious, so, before I psyche myself out, here's our menu plan for May. ;-)
