2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

A Month of Dinners: Menu Plan for October

In an attempt to make our lives a little easier, I'm planning all of our dinners for October at once.

What a week, you guys. I've been putting in full days at the office and taking work home at night to meet tight deadlines. Just when I thought I pulled myself through it, Caroline's teacher called. She had a fever of 102.1 and I had to come pick her up.

My responsibilities at work and the needs of my family have tested my ability to balance at lot of things at once. Not to mention my volunteer work and my blogging tasks... and, while I'm beyond exhausted, even I'm impressed by how I've managed to "do it all".

One of the things that helped keep me on track was our monthly menu plan. Since I already knew what I was making for dinner, I was much more efficient in the kitchen when it came time to cook. That made all the difference when I sat down to work after Caroline was down for the night.

With last month's menu plan as inspiration, here's what I've planned for October... I just hope I can keep this momentum going!
