2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Our Monthly Dinner Plan (January)

2018 is here. It's time to bring back the monthly dinner plans!

Oh, 2018.

Part of me has been waiting for you for months. Another part needs at least three more weeks of 2017 to catch up on the things I didn't get to do.

(I'm not the only one who feels that way... right?)

Anyway... As I mentioned in my last blog post, my hope is to write more frequently this year. I've really missed writing and I'm ready to put my fingers on the keyboard again. To ease back into it, I'm going to start with our monthly dinner plan for January.

These past few months have been especially overwhelming for me (more on that later). Our dinner plans simply fell by the wayside. Quite honestly, I found it difficult to plan a week's worth of dinners let alone a full month.

But I'm determined to set things right... and what better time to hit the reset button than the first of the year?

Plus, so many of you have told me that the monthly dinner plans have been helpful to you. And I've been using your feedback as motivation for blocking the time for meal planning again. Because doing that makes grocery shopping easier... which, in turn, makes life a little easier.

So, without further ado, here's what I have planned for dinner at our house this month... And HAPPY NEW YEAR!
