2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

What's for Dinner: February 10 - February 16

Looking for dinner inspiration? Here's what I've planned for dinner at our house this week!

I have to tell you... I'm feeling a lot better since the last time we chatted. I figured out what kind of Valentine's Day cards to make for the kids' classes at school and ordered my supplies. Since I'm doing the same card for both classes, they should be pretty simple to put together.

I admit it, though. I did not come up with an original idea. I hit up Pinterest and read some parenting blogs for inspiration. For the past two years (here and here), I've assembled Valentine's Day treats that didn't involve candy. I'm sure there will be plenty of sweets at their respective parties, so I followed the trend. When we all show up at school on Thursday, the kids will have something inedible to share with their new friends.

Supplies arrive on Monday, so I'm going to try and make as many of this week's meals ahead of time as I can. I'm going to need the time after work to put everything together... I plan to snap some photos when I'm done, so keep on eye on Instagram to see the finished product!

In the meantime, here's what I've planned for dinner at our house this week.
