2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Tidbits

Sharing what I'm loving right now, family/life happenings, favorite finds, and whatever else pops into my head.

Hey guys! Happy Friday!

Today is one of my last remaining days off before the end of Spring Break. After surviving the kids' first dentist appointments this morning, it's time to relax.

Sure, there are toys all over the living room... Laundry that needs folding... A dishwasher that needs emptying. But I don't care.

I'm only now starting to see the light after digging myself out of a big emotional rut. So I'm slowing down and looking the other way when it comes to the housework. Because, every now and then, I need to let the day play out on its own without worrying about my to-do list.

With that in mind, here's a small bitch of tidbits for you to enjoy as you roll into your weekend.

  1. It's been weeks since C's birthday, but I'm still thinking about this pink frosting that we made for the cupcakes she brought to school.

  2. This is one of my new favorite websites. It's where I found this story, which, of course, made me cry.

  3. We'll have to try a few of these tips when we bring Jonathan in for his next haircut.

  4. I've been feeling so low lately, and this song really helped lift my spirits.

  5. Our family is continuing to develop ways to reduce our household waste and to use more sustainable products... So reading this was a little disheartening.

  6. But seeing this Instagram post by Anne Hathaway helped turn my mood around.

  7. You want to laugh until you cry? Then watch this.

Let me know what you guys thought about these tidbits. What have you been reading or listening to that I should know about? Drop a comment below... and have a great weekend!
