2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Meal Prep Timeline

* image These past few months have been busy for our family, especially since our oldest joined a local swim team. Between juggling our work schedules and balancing school with practices... we're all pretty wiped out. Although it's a lot of work, I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. Preparing the holiday meal for our family fills my heart with joy, and I can't wait to get started. To make things easier for me, I don't deviate much from  our first Thanksgiving  as a family. The dishes I make are familiar ones, and the recipes for them live at my fingertips. Keeping the same menu year after year means I don't have to spend time researching recipes or planning a new one. Here are my tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipes, as well as my prep timeline for the big day!

Tidbits

Sharing what I'm loving right now, family/life happenings, favorite finds, and whatever else pops into my head.

Some of you may have noticed that things have been a little quiet around here. My blogging schedule is off and I haven't been posting on Facebook or Instagram.

Well... That's what happens when I get knocked off my feet by the worst cold I've had in a long time.

I started feeling sick Tuesday night and then, basically, slept for two days straight. I only forced myself out of bed to shower and to say a weak hello to my family.

Today was the first time I felt well enough to put on street clothes, despite not having plans to leave the house. Which means today was the first time I felt well enough to play catch-up on the things I've been ignoring.

Like blogging.

To help get back into the groove of blogging after taking an unexpected break... here's the latest batch of Tidbits for you to read at your leisure this weekend.

Enjoy!

  1. While I love the look of our new linen napkins, I wish I didn't care about their wrinkly appearance so much.

  2. It dawned on me that our sweet girl will be turning five in March... I guess I should start thinking about the kind of birthday cake I want to make for the occasion!

  3. Our kids do some of the chores on these lists, but we don't call them "chores". We talk about everyone having a job in order to help the family.

  4. Someone just went and put my mom playbook online. PS. This is why moms are always tired.

  5. Our sweet girl will be in kindergarten before we know it, so this article is giving me a bunch of things to consider.

  6. I stumbled across this list of mindful resolutions, and I love how well they fit in with my goals to live green this year.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

And send some healing thoughts my way... I hate being sick. 😷
