What's for Dinner: October 31 - November 6
Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃
These monarch butterflies and this member of the Paw Patrol (along with Dad, who took this photo) have a busy afternoon planned, so I'm going to keep this post short.
The kids enjoyed Halloween festivities at school on Friday, and we're hoping to participate in some local fun downtown before coming back to the house to prepare for any neighborhood trick-or-treaters. If you're headed out there today or tonight, be safe... and have a great time!
Before we go... here's our menu plan. Keep reading to see what's on deck for dinner at our house this week!
A Week of Dinners: October 31 - November 6
- Sunday: Crescent Mummy Dogs and Macaroni and Cheese
- Monday: Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Toasted Baguette Slices
I have an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot after work tomorrow, so I've already roasted the vegetables for tomorrow night's soup. This sets my husband up to blend and reheat the soup when he gets home from picking up our son from preschool. - Wednesday: Leftover Night
- Thursday: Crock Pot Chicken Pot Pie Soup Recipe and Simple Olive Oil Drop Biscuits
I will likely make the soup on Wednesday night and bake the biscuits while the soup is reheating on Thursday night. This way, the soup can develop its flavors overnight in the refrigerator.
