After a very busy weekend, I'm finally sitting down to write this post.
I jumped right in on Saturday morning on some housework that needed my attention. It's embarrassing to admit how overdue we were with housecleaning. 🤦
The housework carried over to today, and I carved out time to work on my closet, a project I start over a month ago. I weeded out the clothes that no longer fit... and then I swapped out my white plastic hangers for these wood ones.
Between all that, we managed to squeeze in some early Halloween fun. We took the kids downtown for Halloween on the Green on Saturday. They loved trick-or-treating at some of our favorite local businesses... and it got us all in the spirit for the big trick-or-treating event tomorrow night.
I have a handful of things I still want to get done before I call it a night... so let's get down to business. If you're curious to see what's on deck for dinner at our house this week, then keep reading!
A Week of Dinners: October 30 - November 5
- Sunday: Chicken and Noodles
- Monday: Macaroni and Cheese and Hot Dogs
This has become our traditional dinner on Halloween, simply because it's so quick to pull together. Last year, I made mummy dogs... and while they were adorable, we need something easier this year. 😉 - Tuesday: 10-Minute Maple-Glazed Salmon, Shredded Sprouts Salad with Bacon and Asiago, and Rice Pilaf
- Wednesday: Leftovers
- Thursday: Stephen's Choice
- Friday: Barbecue Chicken Pizza
- Saturday: Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Peas and Carrots
Since I'm not planning on making too much ahead of time this week, I'm not going to include a defrost/prep plan today. Hopefully, next week, I'll be able to do some prepping and cooking ahead of time to make the week go by more easily... at least in the kitchen!
