It's only been a week since we surprised the kids with an overnight in New York... and we're only one week away from the final Christmas countdown.
I've attended two holiday parties already and have one more to go. I was on top of our holiday shopping and finished early this year... but I only finished decorating the house a few days ago.
We didn't send holiday cards, and I haven't started wrapping gifts yet. I promised the kids we'd bake Christmas cookies but have no idea which ones we'll make. (Maybe these?)
No matter how hard I try to have my act together in December, I'm always behind on something. Thank goodness I have some time off coming up, so I can try and make up some ground.
Until then, here's a new Tidbits post. If you find yourself with a spare minute, I hope you give this latest edition a read over the weekend!
- During my last salon visit, my stylist discovered copper in my hair thanks to the well water at the house. She recommended this clarifying shampoo to help remove the buildup. I'll start using it once a week along with this restorative hair masque. Hopefully, doing this will help my hair survive the cold winter months.
- I spoiled myself a little bit on Black Friday and bought myself two Hill House Nap Dresses -- this one in navy wrinkle-resistant crepe and this one in posy pink cotton. I've been eyeing them for a while and couldn't pass up the promotion!
Want to treat yourself, too? Use this link for 20% off your first Hill House Home order! - But be careful... I have some dresses and really want this cardigan now...
- I wonder if this wreath would look nice hanging over the mantel.
- Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses, and Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite movies... so I'm surprised it took me so long to watch this movie.
- It's been bitter cold in our little corner of Connecticut lately. These tasty boozy hot chocolate recipes might the adults in the family warm up a bit!
- This holiday book is such a cute read for kids.
