Despite being off from work this week, I've had a very busy few days.

I started the week with a quick solo trip out of town. I've obviously traveled by myself before, but this trip made me feel super anxious in the days... hours... minutes leading up to my departure. By the time I reached my destination, it felt as if I'd run a marathon!

When I got home, I turned my attention to our daughter's upcoming birthday celebration. My husband and I surprised her with a day trip into the city, and we packed a lot into our time there. I was so exhausted by the time we got back, I gave up on being productive and tucked myself into bed around 9:30.

Coming to grips that our oldest is eight now took a toll on me! 😂

I return to the office on Monday, so I'm doing my best to make a little more time for myself... to recharge a little bit more. Although a week off wasn't nearly enough time, it certainly helped.

  1. You guys really loved the new area rug we got for the living room. I'm not on the hunt for a rug for our adjoining breakfast nook and I like the look of this one. What do you guys think?

  2. How cute are these platters for Easter?

  3. We have nowhere to put it now, but I'd love this TV for our next house.

  4. Speaking of our next house, it also must have a space for this gorgeous cabinet.

  5. A recent trip to an indoor waterpark has me rethinking my swimwear. I'm loving the ruffle detail of this swim top and the coverage offered by this swim skirt.

  6. This would look quite classy on our mantel. Just need to make a decision about color...

  7. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can start making cocktails like this one again.

  8. Instagram voted. Here's my current read.

  9. Say hello to my new Chelsea boots. I love them so much.
