Now that the kids are out of school for the summer, our family has turned our attention to filling the next few months with as much fun as possible. Especially since we sacrificed the majority of last summer to the start of my new job, the sale of our old house, and the search for our new one.

With the First Day of Summer only days away, I think it's the perfect time to share our 2024 Summer Bucket List! We used last year's Summer Bucket List as a starting point and removed the activities that no longer seemed interesting to us. Then we filled in the holes with new activities we want to try.

  • TAKE FAMILY COOKING CLASS

  • MAKE HOMEMADE ICE CREAM

  • HAVE AN ICE CREAM SUNDAE PARTY 

  • GET FALAFEL AT MAMOUN'S

    We still haven't been successful in our quest to get falafel at Mamoun's. This summer is the summer we're going to get it done -- I have a good feeling about it!

  • VISIT LOCAL BREWERY

  • EAT STEAMED CHEESEBURGERS

  • ICE CREAM TO ICE CREAM RIDE ON FARMINGTON CANAL TRAIL

  • SPEND AFTERNOON AT LOCAL POOL
     
  • GO ON SHOPPING SPREE AT REREAD BOOKS & MORE

  • VISIT AN AMUSEMENT PARK / WATER PARK

  • GO TO THE BEACH

  • BUILD SAND CASTLES

  • RIDE RIDES / PLAY GAMES AT THE BOARDWALK

  • TAKE A BOAT RIDE

  • RIDE A TRAIN

  • PLAY MINIATURE GOLF

  • MAKE TIE-DYE T-SHIRTS

  • PAINT ROCKS

    Our town has created our own Rocco the Snake, inspired by this one, so we want to paint some rocks to add to it this summer.

    Note to self: Order more of these flat rocks for the project.

  • GO TO A BASEBALL GAME

  • VISIT THE BOTANICAL GARDEN

  • VISIT THE ZOO

  • WANDER A MUSEUM

  • GO TO THE MOVIES

  • GO TO SHOW AT THE THEATRE

  • ATTEND OUTDOOR CONCERT

  • WATCH FIREWORKS

  • HAVE A SLEEPOVER IN LIVING ROOM

  • HAVE A MOVIE NIGHT

  • HAVE FAMILY WATER BALLOON TOSS / FIGHT

    Something else I need to order? More of these silicone water balloons. Why? Because I have no idea where they wound up after the move last year.

  • GO TO LOCAL CARNIVAL OR FAIR

  • VISIT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA

  • VISIT POPPOP

  • VISIT FRIENDS IN THE LEHIGH VALLEY

  • TAKE A DAY TRIP TO RHODE ISLAND

  • VISIT ONE NEW STATE

  • HOST HOUSEWARMING PARTY
